In this blog, I will be discussing the research I conducted in order to find the perfect font for my film opening, that I will be utilizing when I begin editing.
Fonts
The title of my film opening is called "Extracurricular" because it captures the youthful yet mysterious claim as to what our main character Camila's life may really be like beyond high school. To still capture the a sense of youth I experimented with a couple of fonts that look like writing and very school-like.
Here are a couple of the fonts I am considering using. I used the software Canva, which I use for everything, to go through millions of different types of fonts to find a few that I felt really matched for how I envisioned "Extracurricular." Before coming to any final decisions, I want to confirm and get my partner's opinion on what she feels best resonates with the film.
I'll be using the font I choose to open the film when it says "Extracurriculars," and most likely use that same font for the credit. To make a difference between the credits and the opening title, I may put the title in bold just to make it stand out a bit more or just add something to give it a little pop. I want to make sure I pick the font I think looks the best because I really think a font gives a character and tone to a film, so I want to make sure I incapture that perfectly.
