Prop Creation

This week, I need to prioritize getting everything ready in order to begin filming. I've been discussing with my partner on the main objectives of our props that we need to get done. I don't have any current issues since my main prop is the bag of drugs. I already have sugar in my home and a plastic bag, so I don't need to go out spending any money on supplies. I'll most likely use the Ziploc bags I currently have in my home. The next prop I need to find is a duffel bag for when Camila is packing all her stuff in order

to leave. I want the duffel bag to not draw too much attention, so I want to keep it like a simple black to also create suspicion around it. I have a duffel bag at my home, but it has a huge logo on it so I will most likely leave it as a last resort. I'm first going to ask my cast and my partner to see if any of them may have one we can use for the film. If not, like I said I will end up using the one I already have.

Overall, I think making these props will be super easy for me because they are items that pretty much every one already has in their home. If I use any other props, it will be things I already have in my home just to build the character's identity more. For example when she's packing in the duffle bag, she will pack the drugs and maybe some cash, or even makeup to show the contrast of her doing all these questionable things while still being a young teenage girl. At the end when our other main character Trevor picks up Camila, we might add little hints and items scattered around the car as clues to what could possibly unfold throughout the rest of the film. Maybe we will print a plane ticket or a train ticket. I'm leaning more towards a plane ticket because originally when me and my partner had our film idea, during the packing sequence we wanted to show Camila buying a plane ticket but our teacher said that may give too much away. So, instead we might have it almost as an easter egg in the film.
